[NCC] ARRLDXSSB CONTEST

Wow, what a time we had here in shack over weekend....and a great
performance using my new FT-950 Yaesu and letting the
Yaesu Mark V take a bow for this contest.     I was very happy with the
performance, although I did have to get the manual out
during contest and do some reading on SPLIT OPERATION...but thats a piece
of cake now.     My score is peanuts to some of
you, but for me on a hunt and pounce operation, this was my all time
high.    If I had had a dipole up for 80, I could have really done
much better job....   Grand kids visiting, xyl running out of gas, and son
in law wanting to change garbage disposal were just few
deterents, but thats life...     Anyhow, this was one of my best outputs
and by far most enjoyable contest for long time...
The new rig was great addition to my new Skyhawk Beam and tower this
fall...    I think I have all the retirement accessories that I'm
going to need....    Just need to retire now!
