Club: North Coast Contesters

Comments:BAH! sunspots be **mned. Condx were terrible and at the start my 
receive went away. After checking with the other radio finally figured out 
the amp relay was the culprit. Haul the AL1500 off the shelf, open it by 
removing 800 screws and clean relay. Problem solved-put amp back in line and 
for the next hour had intermittent relay problem-then it seemed to settle 
down. It was hard to tell if the band was dead or the relay was at fault 
because the condx sucked so bad. After 8 hours or so of of no real runs, 
spotty mult chasing and very few Russian stations to work PLUS my wife 
informing me that our dog was hiding due to thunder I packed it in. Kudos to 
those who stuck it out but the prop gods conspired against us this weekend.
