Comments:

Condx on 20 & 15M were very poor at the beginning of the Contest, but got
better later in the day. Never heard a single signal on 10M. 80 & 40M were
quite nice with low QRN and typical propagation for this time of year.

I was surprised to be called by KP2RUM on 80 during a run in late evening,
but NA Country representation was sparse. It would be nice to get more
activity from Central America and the Carib for NAQP.

Too bad there wasn't more 160M activity. I worked every station that I could
hear and almost every one was a new mult. Maybe folks don't even think about
160 in the warm WX months. It would be a good place to check out late in
the Contest when things slow down on the other Bands.

It's always a challenge in a Phone Contest to find a freq that doesn't "belong" to
a Net or a bunch of "Good Ol' Boys"!! I had a fun challenge from some of the
"Boys" who came on 2 KHz from me after about an hour I was on a 40M freq.
They demanded that I move 2.5-3 KHz away from "their" freq above me. I don't
know what kind of radios or filters they were using or not using, but on LSB it
seemed odd that I would bother them much by being below them. My sideband
would be below them and they should have been bothering ME. Anyway, I
ignored their un-ID'd rants and carriers and CW and name-calling and worked
quite a few Q's right through them until they gave up. Some things never change.

It was good to work a lot of NCC'ers and Team Members, especially NW2K's
alter ego "Bob".
