Hello all.
Thank you to all those that responded with ideas. Especially Tom, K8AZ, with a complete checklist.
Well, the news is...I decided to replace the socket in the amp first as it was burned and so was a pin on the tube. This pin was one
of the filament pins. Crazy but with another socket and the pin cleaned up I am back in business without having to acquire a new
tube. Whew. These 3CX1200A7's are nearly impossible to find.

The 3CX1200A7 in my amp just blew I believe. Plate voltage fine, no plate or grid current. With that thought in mind I have been
searching the internet and believe the A7 is no longer produced? Does anyone know of a source? I may be able to talk the wife in to
a tube but doubt I can talk her in to a $4k amp.
