[NCC] K8MR Holiday Party - January 4

The umpteenth annual K8MR holiday party and MRRC meeting will be Saturday,  
January 4, 2014, starting around 7 pm at the K8MR QTH, 30499 Jackson Road,  
Orange Village, Ohio.
 
This is close to the I-271/I-480/US422  junction on the southeast side  of 
Cleveland. 
 
The first party was held on a weeknight between Christmas and New Years in  
December 1977, and has been going ever since. Back in those days a lot of 
us  were still college students, or at least young enough to be partying on a 
 week night. A few years later the party moved to the now traditional day 
of the  first Saturday on the new year, except when that day was the holiday 
itself. 
 
More recently the ARRL has attempted to take over the weekend by  running 
the RTTY Roundup on the first weekend of January, but the MR party was  there 
first!
 
I hope you all will be able to make it over on the 4th, as well as to the  
somewhat newer but still venerable K8AZ Open House earlier in the day. 
Details  on that will be forthcoming from Tom.
 
FYI, on January 4 Amateur Electronic Supply will be closed for inventory,  
so don't include that in your plans for the day.
