[NCC] K3LR Summer Fest

Huge Thanks to Tim, K3LR for hosting an NCC meeting at his superstation on
Friday.  It was great to see the guys -- and special thanks to the
Rochester contingent who drove all the way in and spent the night in W.Pa.
 The informal meeting with the gang crowded into the operating room and
stories being told was very special.  With luck, this may become another
NCC tradition.

That said, we were reminded that this is an invitation-only club.  Several
guys who were candidates were invited, and all have expressed interest.
 These membership candidates are:


   - Dave, N8NB -- a RTTY contester -- likely to contribute small but
   meaniingful score.  (Feel free to contact Dave at n8nb at aol.com)
   - Steve, KB8VAO -- a big VhF guy -- and potential VHF contest whip --
   who is a daytime K3LR contest op.  (Feel free to contact Steve at
   kb8vao at netcom.com)
   - Roy, W3RTY -- this is a no-brainer.  Roy is a super RTTY guy and a
   "lapsed" NCC member.  No reason not to renew his membership that I can see.

There is one other guy -- Joe Vaccaro, W3JTV, who is a long-time K3LR
friend, and who (thanks to Tim) I have known for years.  Truth be known,
Joe is not likely to accept an invitation to join.  But he is a great guy,
has a heart of gold, and I would like to extend him an invitation
nonetheless.

Since the next official NCC meeting is not until January 2014 (at my
house!),. per the By-laws, please respond with your votes to me via email.
 Once we have 50% approval for any of the foregoing candidates, I'll extend
an invitation.
