To the NCC Warriors --

Hope to see many of you at Dayton.....

As many of you know, at the NCC annual meeting in January, NCC committed to
purchase a tent at WRTC-2014, in memory of our NCC silent keys.  (I think
the list is, in no particular order, K3TUP, W8GN, W8KIC, W8BIN.  Am I
forgetting anyone?)

We did not discuss funding, other than our Treasurer, KQ8M, confirming that
the $1000 cost was available.  However, I'd like to propose a different
approach -- and to give credit to the MRRC guys for thinking of doing it a
different way.

I'd like to propose that NCC agree to MATCH any contribution -- up to $1000
of matching funds -- in the hope that we can purchase TWO tents for our
fallen warriors.  I know that many of us will contribute (or have already
contributed) to WRTC-2014 independently .... but this is a way to do it as
NCC reminds the contest community that we are a small club, but one which
is an unusual and reliable powerhouse.

So, here's what we're going to do:  NCC has arleady committed $1,000 to
WRTC.  I'd like to raise another $1000 of private member donations -- and
use that to commit to a second tent.  Toward that end, I'll personally
pledge a donation of $250.  Anyone else?  (Please reply to me personally at
tleek8az at gmail.com.  We can list who contributed, and either disclose the
amount or not, per your personal preference .... but even a $10 commitment
will help.)

This is short notice, but it would be great to announce a commitment for a
second tent at Dayton.  Please keep in mind that, for more than a decade,
NCC has been the original and primary sponsor of the contest supersuite at
the Crown Plaza.  See http://contestsupersuite.com, and the tradition
continues today.  It would be great if, as part of our sponsorship, we
could announce a second WRTC tent.
