Comments: Not my highest QSO total ever but the second highest. With the
'new' section count it is my highest score ever but with a * like the
ballplayers who used steroids. Some where I have the QST with my first score
ever in SS as KN8TVC in 1960 (yes, older than dirt!)

Lots of good runs with periods of 'worked him' 'worked him' S & P. Last two
sections for the sweep were EWA and WY-go figure. After I found them I must
have worked about a half dozen more within a few minutes. Worked both VY1JA
and EI-both with no raging pileup as usual.
80 was somewhat of a disappointment on Sunday night. If I would have gone to
40 sooner I may have broken 1K. At 7076 there seemed to be enough guys to
maintain a 40/hr rate.

Nice to work many NCC and MRRC guys and K8MR from at least 2 of his
traveling op series-he was screaming on 80 on Sunday night from K8AZ-close
to 40wpm-wow!

I put up the driven element from one of my old Cushcraft A3S hanging from a
tree about 40 feet up and pointed it north/south. It was killer on 10-20 for
the second radio and made the R7000 vertical cower in shame for stateside
use.

As much as it's a grind it sure is fun!

Current W8CAR station if you are not asleep yet:
K3 and FT1000mp
US tower 55 ft with X7 and 2L Crunchcraft 40
center open wire fed E/W 130 wire at 60 feet tuned with a venerable
Matchbox
extra 40/80 DP N/S @ 40 feet
20-10 A3 driven L @ 40 feet oriented N/S
R7000
various and sundry listening antennas (not used this year in SS)
Winkey USB, N1MM software-the best!
