 John, AC8E, is recovering at home after a double hernia repair on Tuesday. He's appropriately sore as expected, but otherwise coming along well.

More serious news concern his son, Richard. Richard, who has done a lot of tower climbing at K8AZ, W8KIC, K8PP, and maybe a few other places, was involved in a serious traffic accident last weekend when his truck went off I-80 in bad weather near Clearfield, PA. He had surgery on Tuesday at UMPC Hospital in Altoona to fuse several vertebrae in his lower back. The operation went well, but he will be there for at least a week, and will certainly have a lot of recovery work after that.
