[NCC] Russian DX contest whippage

The RDXC categories include mixed mode, and the exchange includes a
serial number (+RST). It appears that SSB Sprint QSOs would be in the
same form as for RDXC (assuming 59 signal reports and discarding the
name/QTH from the Sprint). However I did submit a RDXC log last year
including these Sprint QSOs, and found in the UBN report that many or
all of the Sprint QSOs were bounced from RDXC. I never did follow up
to see what happened.

I believe the Virginia QSO Party is also on at the same time, and their
exchange also include a serial number. Same caveat applies.

But the RDXC is still a fun contest if the conditions are good.

And while you're on the air, you can hand out a few QSOs to the folks
participating in the NCJ SSB Sprint 0000Z - 0359Z (Sat Eve local) on 20
M, 40 M and 75 M.

Agreed 1000% Dan......this is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I
was just
looking over the log from a few years ago and noticed BY/9V1/HS/YB
among the
contacts. And the Russians are on in grand style!

CU on the bands!

>Okay, I realize we just finished ARRL DX and everyone may be tired BUT
this
coming weekend is the RDXC starting at 1200Z on the 15 and ending 24
hours
later. This has become one of my favorites. Plenty of classes, EVERYONE
can use
packet clusters, everyone works everyone AND the Russians make a great
effort to
get the activity out. As far as I'm concerned working UA0 and 9s over
the pole
on 10 15 and 20 is one of the most fun aspects of contesting. Give it a
try and
submit your score for NCC or MRRC!
