Hello All,
I truly appreciate the honor of having been a member of the NCC. However
it is time for me to say my 73's
Life has become very busy. My veterinary hospital has hit a rapid growth
rate after adding a second doctor and I have an important responsibility
to guide the growth. This includes adding a third doctor and transitioning
to be the first hospital in our region to have a 24 hour format. It's been
a bit over 2 years since my wife was diagnosed and started treatment for
cancer: She is doing very well right now and has finally recovered enough
from the treatment side effects that she isn't home-bound any longer, and
we want to make the most of this special time together. My wonderful
children aged 15, 11, and 8 are growing quickly and deserve to have as
much Dad time as possible ~ Marching Band is quickly becoming an every
weekend activity in the autumn and spring will bring Robotics Club.
Last but not least, I had put SuperBertha on sabbatical during my wife's
treatment: Now it is time to ramp it up again. To that end I have hired a
full time administrative assistant (Kaitlyn) and a retired GE Locomotive
machinist (Mark) to help take SuperBertha to the next level. Jim Breakall
WA3FET and I have some very exciting antenna designs we are launching over
the next 6 months so stay tuned
Finally, I am taking the initial steps to establish a vacation station
away from WPA with the first choice being VE1 and the backup being Maine
or Vermont.
Take care all! I think the world of you all, and I look forward to seeing
you at the SuperBertha Dayton booth.
73, Scott W3TX
