Well. First time on the air in quite some a while. Sure was nice to be back on and make a few Q's!!
I put up a 160m inverted V with the center at 50 to 60 feet last week. It was one I bought and had laying around for many years. Fed with RG8x which is not ideal as a multi band antenna but at least it got me on the air a bit. I may change it to open wire at some point. I have a Butternut HF9V new in the box that I will be use as the next project. Need a few items to be able to do that so better get on the phone with DXE soon!
Had to log and send by hand since I didn't have any logging software handy. Working on getting it typed in so I can submit. The IC 765 amazingly worked after sitting on a table in the basement for a long time.
Lots of things to work on to get it better arranged and organized. Need to find the headset and adapter cable at some point too. :-)
Got on quite late Saturday and spent about 1 1/2 hours working my way up the band. Even managed to run guys for 5 or 10 minutes. Did not realize until I finished that Ontario was now 4 sections. I gotta get out more. Yeesh.
Bottom line:
Q's: 110
Sec: 46
DX: 4 (managed to work EI at least)
Score: 11,400. Manually calculated for the moment.
Great to work everyone and look forward to a few q's this weekend as well.
