Guys....like Scott, I have this old Alpha Delta DXsloper for 160/80/40
laying around, which I had never really used before with any kind of
success over both my 80 and 40 meter inverted V's.  I never actually
attempted anything on 160 seriously as I had only used my 80 dipole
inverted V and really didn't hear much, and what I did hear didn't hear
me.    I was thinking Saturday morning about climbing about 40'  up the
tower, throwing this sloper up and seeing what my new tuner would do with
it.      Well were my ears surprised when I compared the sloper and my 80
V, never heard so many stations before!     So later in the evening  I
figured "what the hell", give it a shot!     Sloper was pointed towards the
East for the most part and I had a blast for the 3 hours.   I worked about
everything on East coast from Maine to Florida, ton of New York and
Pennsylvania, lots of VE2,3's,5, 7's, throw in Ohio, Michigan, West VA,
Virginia, Kentucky, AL, TX,OK, MO, MS, MI, AZ, NE both ND and SD, and few
others.

All in all, nothing major in points and qso's,  but I had good time,
disappointed that I never took 160 more serious, however I'm going to work
on that over the winter, especially after hear DX....
