Club: North Coast Contesters

Comments: I gave up in this one after about 11 hours. When it started 10 and 
15 were dead-even though skimmer spots were all over the band map. The 
stations I COULD hear on 20 for the most part could not hear me. After a few 
hours things got a bit better. Propagation was very strange given the high A 
and K .  Heard lots of AU type echo on many stations while others were very 
normal. SA stations had echo, worked a loud EU or UA on 10 while CQing ( 
with bean at 120 degrees) but the band was only open for minutes at a time. 
Lost more than a few Qs due to fading and disappearing signals. Even the 
skimmers were messing up, I was spotted by skimmers as W8CI, W8CII, W8CB 
and others I can't remember. When I got to 40 and there was so much echo on 
EU signals I had trouble getting numbers I bagged it and watched OSU lose. 
Still, I am amazed at some of the numbers being handed out so propagation 
was good somewhere but not at W8CAR. As always it was fun!
