Thanks for posting this info..Dave was one of my first VHF Q's in 1962 (I'm 
 a bit older than you!). I would reconnect with him later in life as K8AZ 
and I  operated a few multi op ssb DX contests at the QTH of Chet, N8RA. Chet 
had a  good multi tower installation on Rt. 306 not very far from the 
present QTH of  K8AZ. As it turned out Chet and Dave were friends (don't remember 
their  connection), he was always there to operate and offer encouragement. 
 
He will be missed.

I was  sad to hear the Dave Vore K8WW (K8UQA) bacame a SK on Monday. I 
first made  QSO with him on 6 meter AM back in 1965. He was one of the 
big 6M guns  from the Cleveland area (with K8MMM, K8RJG, WA8PYA...) We 
stayed in touch  through the years and had several on the air contacts, 
even this  year.
