Hi Pete,
Thanks for volunteering to help me get my wires higher up in the trees
at my QTH and I'm sorry I have not been in touch before this. I've had a
pretty crazy travel schedule recently but I will be getting home this
Saturday and expect to be home for the next five weeks after that and I
am planning to get around to this job around the end of October. I
decided that I should make completely new dipoles and replace the ropes
that have been holding my 80 and 160 dipoles up for 6-7 years so I want
to get all of that stuff ready before you come. (With all of the
chafing these ropes experience, it's a miracle that the antennas are
still up.) There is also an advantage in waiting as long as possible to
do this work since it will be easier once the leaves are down and the
weeds in the woods behind the supporting trees have died.
So I'm looking at the last week of October or the first week of November
for this. Please let me know if you expect to be around then. It
really shouldn't take very long since I will have everything ready when
you come. However, I will be interested in any other suggestions you
might have for improving my antenna situation.
Thanks & 73,
Hal W1NN
