All fixed. Broken U-bolt on the T2X rotor. Replaced, re-positioned, tightened, ready to go again.

Just bad timing for when it broke! Earlier in the very day of Sprint.

Comments:

Had lots of rain and snow static (yes it snowed here!) during the first hour.
Missed a lot of mults, but worked all that I heard except VE8.
Missed ME and NM from continental US.

For me, just didn't seem to have it together. Part of it was the snow static that was bad here from 0015Z to 0100Z. At least with a couple of beverages I could work through that period. 40 meters was not what it usually is from here, but wasn't sure why. Was gone most of day Saturday and then when got home noticed 40 meter beam heading was off by 70 degrees. Beam was still rotatable so I think (hoped) just a mast spin in the rotor. Made some marks on the rotor box to compensate. Had more high winds during the contest. Looked at it Sunday (in the daylight) and it is now off by 140 degrees ! That might explain some of the poor showing on 40 meters. And why the dipoles were frequently unexpectedly better than beam!

Update Tuesday- Now it is off by 300 degrees! Fortunately has not wrapped coax around the tower... yet. Beam heading on rotor says 60 degrees, antenna is pointing at 359 degrees, but it got there spinning the correct direction through South (and is south centered rotor). Hopefully can get it fixed this evening.
