Hi All,
As noted by others, I made it safely to Cape Cod yesterday, and got on the air and found six meters open from the rare, 99% water FN51 grid square. Worked a number of MRRC/NCC guys, including K1LT, K8ND, K8GU, KB8VAO, and K9NW. K1TO was weak, but the only recognized FCGer to make it into the log. The openings were mostly to the Carolinas and the Ohio Valley. I did squeak out one double hop QSO to K7CW in CN87. Rig is the K3 with a Par Moxon at about 30 feet when fully deployed.
I’m here until Friday morning. I hope to catch a lot more of you while I’m here. This is social visit with radio a secondary feature. But if you hear the band open in this direction, feel free to call or text to 216-409-2958. I may be out on my bike or at the beach, but if I’m around I’ll try to get to the radio for some more QSOs
