Nice score Hal! Missed you on 80,40,20-we must have been CQing or S and P at
same time! Great job organizing! Glad to get station going again after the
lightning disaster. Some more work to do before fall but getting there.

Nice scores from fellow teammates NP2X and NA8V. Some disappointments
but overall not bad. I really pushed the SO2R and at the end I had so
much adrenaline flowing I couldn't get to sleep for a couple of hours.
I guess that's a sign of a good contest.

Comments:

This is a favorite of mine. I usually operate the January NAQP remote so
this
is my chance to use SO2R and I really used it a lot this time. QSO total
ended
up better than I would have guessed after the first couple of hours, but
mults
were really awful compared with recent years (Hard to believe I had 231
mults
in 2011.)

I worked a couple of Sixes on 10 and a S9 WI9WI answered one of my CQs but a
weak K2RD in NV couldn't hear me and the only other mult was local W8CAR.
15
was awful and I just couldn't get much going on 20 and spent too much time
there trying to get the Q total over 200 and find another 10 mults. The low
bands played well and I made more 160 contacts than ever before in August
including an ESP contact with NP2X. Thanks!

Station: small tribander supported by trees at 40 feet fixed west. Dipoles
at
50-60 feet for 40, 80 and 160.

Lots of fun. 73, Hal
