great score Eric !!!! I got on late, too much going on here, some sickness 
in the house, wife recovering from hip surgery, son and fiancé home for the 
holidays....yada yada yada....

did get on a bit, made abt 150 qsos with my peanut whistle....just too much 
noise here, which I hope to work on once my shipment of toroids get here and 
I build a couple of common mode chokes....

highlight was being called by KH6LC on Sunday am, just before my 
sunrise.....managed to pull him out just above my noise floor (really gotta 
get some rx antennas)....

Path to EU was decent, 164 EU worked over several hours.  Best raw point 
value
QSOs were three 33 pt VK QSOs (2x VK3, 1x Vk5) and a 37 pt QSO with VK6VZ.
Steve/VZ was an easy 559.

The VK QSOs came well before sunrise and were all decent strength / copy, so 
I
was expecting a nice opening to JA and watched the clock in anticipation...
closer... closer... nothing yet... SR!!  Not a single JA heard LP or SP! 
What
a strange band!

Given the usual busted QSO allowance, this should be a new all-time SOHP QSO
total record (unless someone else raced by!), currently held by K9DX at 777
QSOs set in 2009.  I came close, within 5 QSOs, back in 2012.

Fun contest as always despite hiccups here and there, looking forward to the
Spring edition!
