[NCC] NCC Meeting & Motion

Hal,

You were missed -- but not forgotten -- at Saturday's annual NCC meeting.

The group had a discussion about your significant efforts to improve and
update -- and success in doing so -- the NCC website since taking over as
Web Guru.  The group unanimously passed a motion commending your "above and
beyond" efforts in that endeavor, and extending the thanks of the entire
radio club in making our web presence much more up to date and useful.

In addition, once again, NCC won the ARRL Medium Club gavel for the ARRL DX
Contest.  K3LR and I announced a new club policy that for this and all
future club wins of this nature, the gavel will be presented to a club
member who, in the view of the executive committee, has made an outstanding
contribution toward reaching the goal that the gavel exemplifies.  This
year, the executive committee agreed that the gavel should go to you, not
only for your efforts as web guru, but also for your unfailing work as a
contest whip.  The membership enthusiastically agreed, and passed a motion
to that effect.

I have the gavel here.  Please let me know if you would like me to send it
to your address in JA or in Medina.  You definitely earned it!
