Made it on for two hours between 9pm and 11pm EST. 57 QSOs, 20 SP, 5 DXCC. DXCC countries in the Caribbean are a lot easier from down here, but on the other hand I had only 2 VE QSOs.
Good to hear and work fellow MRRC/NCC/FCG folk. K8AZ in a non-DX contest was a pleasant surprise. Conditions sounded pretty good, but I could certainly tell the limits of my hidden antenna station. Most QSOs were in 4/5 land. No W1 or W0 (or 6/7), no NY, IN, WI, or MI. I was hearing some W6/W7 getting louder toward the end, but my operating position shares the room with the Murphy bed my visiting daughter is using, so it was QRT at bedtime.
Towards the end, I heard a couple of buddies (N4PN and N8TR) S&Ping at the high end, so decided to try some CQs to see if RBN would get some attention. K9CT, who I had previously tried calling with no luck, quickly called in, along with a guy in KY who may have just found me.
CQ contests do not have the one call per transmitter rule, so I may fire up tonight as W3USA to try it all again with a fresh start.
