There are a couple Mailman options that would prevent a user from 
receiving their own posts:

1. "No dupes" is enabled for the user.  That will stop a post from being 
sent to the user if their Email address is in the To:, Cc:, Resent-to:, 
or Resent-Cc: headers.  That does not appear to be the case in looking 
at the Email headers from Jim's messages

2. "Receive your own post to the list" is the other setting, should be 
visible on the user's options page (or "not metoo" from admin membership 
list).  Behavior should be self-explanatory.
