Nice jobs....K3LR and K8AZ. NCC has good showing on all three Multi
categories!
K0SM and NW2K were a shared op...Andy until Sat nite, Dean on Sunday.
We were very pleased with the outcome and the station performance. The low
15 meter beam's ring rotor is frozen at EU, damage from the Icy freezup we
had back just before NAQP. With 15 the way it was, that was no big deal.
We couldn't recall ever seeing 15 this bad. (I don't climb in the winter!)
Then Sat nite when the radio aurora dipped down over Lake Ontario, we seemed
to lose everything on the low bands for quite a while.
We made every use of the off-band that we could. Using our band changes to
grab mults or just a few more QSOs late in the clock hour if there were no
mults to get.
Three K3s, all HW interlocked
Two Alpha 87a
Three computers
One SO2R box (for when we had 2 ops on, not 3)
Back to FL tomorrow.....I may try a single band in SSB remotely. I haven't
done that (SSB ARRL) in decades! Maybe 80 or 15!
.
Jeff
