Hello Contesters,

Here is an important point to remember when submitting logs and posting scores.

For contests that allow single band entries, e.g. CQWW and ARRL DX, the log that you submit with your entry must include all contacts made on any band during the contest. CQWW rules make this explicit in rule 10.2. I believe that it is included in ARRL DX rules as well.

The reason for this requirement is obvious. If a station makes a 160 m SOSB entry, completes a few QSOS on 15 m during the day, but submits a log with only 160 m QSOs, the stations worked on 15 m will be charged with NIL penalty for completely valid QSOs. That is a good way to make enemies in the contest community.

As long as the Cabrillo header info shows that the log is for a SOSB entry, contacts on others bands will be used for log checking but will not be included in the adjudicated SOSB score. Of course, other band contacts must be omitted from the score calculated by N1MM+ for your 3830 posting, or your posted score will be inflated by QSOs that will not count toward your final adjudicated score.

73 and Good Luck,

Jim, W8WTS
