Comments:

I have no 10M antenna but I found that a few people could hear me on my 160
dipole. I operated a little in the morning and evening my time, meaning 
that I
missed most of what ought to be the best hours of the contest during the 
US day.

It was interesting to hear signals rise up and fade away in the space of 
a few
seconds. I heard a lot more stations than I was able to work. No surprise
there.
