[NCC] [MRRC] 1022D Rig Rotor Motor Repair Question

 I can't speak actual repair of the motor, but replacement of a motor is tricky, as there are many different motors used in various Ring Rotators, and they are largely non interchangeable. The guy running TIC seems to be clueless on replacement motors. K5KG gave up on his ring rotator after several tries (expensive) to get an appropriate replacement motor.

Has anyone ever repaired a TIC Ring Rotor Motor?
I have two TIC Ring 1022D rotors on two different towers.  Everything was working fine.
But recently the motor winding on one of them has opened.  I think it happened when we had the recent ice build up and I tried to turn it (bad idea).
I took the unit down and started taking it apart and can smell electrical burn smell. Anyway, I took the bottom cover off and the next cover under it off, but now not sure how to keep disassembling....
