Comments:That was a lot of fun. I must admit my stomach began to growl around 7PM as I knew I was missing the K8AZ steak roast. Hope everyone had a safe and good meal (Tom is the steakmaster!) Congrats to GD for an outstanding effort from the AZ SUPER STATION

The packet cluster/reverse beacon industrial complex caused consternation a few times with busting my call –the leaders are W8CAA (top rung), W8CIR,W7FAR,W8CIR, W8CRR and others. Had a short stretch where many people tried to dupe me so I made sure to send my call every over. Plus, I was sending my call twice in my CQs. GO figure.

Had minor equipment problems but the 80 vertical got caught in an A3 DE I use as my south antenna. So, the A3 worked on 10 and 15 but not 20 and the 80 vertical had a 3:1 SWR which the amp tuner took care of. But of course even running power I had trouble working people. (That problem has been fixed (after the contest) by moving a rope and resetting it)

Nice to see 10 and 15 with usable propagation for a change. Worked Eu well after their sunset on 10 and 15. Some of the HQ stations were beacons on every band! worked W1AW and NU1AW on most bands as well as K8AZ!!

40 was very noisy here and I used the listening antennas most of the time. It seemed to settle down as it got early in the morn.

highlights:
At least 15 JAs on 40
many VK mults called in on 40
seemed to have worked all zones at least on one band

Back in the COVID hole
