An experience in masochism, though I guess I must be enough of a masochist to have had some fun.
Called W8EDU a bunch on Saturday with no luck, and K1LT a few times Sunday morning with the same non-results.

Comments:
I may have some bonus points - all battery power, etc.
I decided my KX3 was due for a workout. I set up the portable station in my
driveway, starting setup at 1800Z. KX3, 33 foot vertical wire fed against the
minivan, with big loading coil for 80, and fed in parallel with a 20 meter
HamsStick.
Conditions on Saturday were quite flat - could not hear other Ohio or nearby
folks on 40, no interesting E skip on the higher bands. 33 of the QSOs were with
either North Carolina or Illinois. 80 was quite noisy on Saturday night.
Things were better on Sunday, with some good E skip. When I started working New
Jersey on 10 meters, I decided to head inside and get on with the real station
using my own call.
