[NCC] [MRRC] More rotator comparison questions

Can't speak for the Yaesus as I only have one and that was on the low tribander on the second radio but the auto point and shoot worked great on it.

The rest of mine are Tailtwisters and Ham IVs. Never had any problem with turning the XM240 and KT34XA but the brake sticks sometimes and the wiring block will corrode. I have picked up a few over the years from tower take downs and a disentegrated wiring block / exploded ring gear seam to be the common failures. The ring gear is only die cast. I think I have one that had a stripped gear in the down shift gear assembly.

I don't mind the Hygain stuff but I need to outfit them with a point and shoot/ brake delay so I don't have to rotate them by hand during the heat of battle.

Bob,

I have a couple of G2800s and these are much robust in all ways than a Tail-twister. I’ve been turning big 5L 20m yagis with G2800s since 1996.

Ken, W8MJ has turned his Telrex full size 2L 40 for several years with the smaller G1000.
