Not so many signals on the bands but CQing always brought lots of
stations out of the woodwork.

Comments:

Remote operation from Japan of my station in Ohio. All CW with no
assistance.

The contest begins at 1AM my time so I missed the first half of the
contest.

There is no place to enter my 160 contacts in this form so I put them in
the 15
meter column above. I don't remember ever operating 160 in this contest
before
but the rules said 160 is included and there were stations there to
work, so I
spent a little time there.

There was pretty good activity while I was on. I probably missed the
best time
for 20 meters and I'm not sure what I missed on 40 early in the day, but the
bands sounded good and I was never bored. There was even some short skip
on 20
while I was on and I worked a handful of New England stations there.
Later on,
I dropped a couple of CQs into a dead 20 meter band and KL7SB came back
to me.
Thanks Steve! Not much DX this time.

K8MR and K8O both sounded great. I got Jim nine times and the K8NZ/W8CAR
team
six times. K8RYU also sounded good and I managed three contacts with Ralph.

This contest sure could use separate categories for SSB and CW. If there had
been a separate category for CW, I might have gotten up at 1 AM!

There were a couple of KSQP ops operating on 7045 and 3545 where OH
mobile ops
try to operate. I thought there was a gentleman's understanding that KS guys
would stay lower in the band and OH stations would be in the higher
portions. If
there is no such understanding, it would be a good idea.

Thanks for another good OHQP.

73, Hal W1NN
