Hello NAQP CW fans.

Only two weeks until the summer version of one of the best CW contests
of the year:  the NAQP.  Contest dates/times are 1800 UTC August 7
through 0600 UTC August 8.  Operate 10 out of the 12 hours.  Full rules at:

http://www.ncjweb.com/NAQP-Rules.pdf

As usual, I will be putting together joint teams from the Mad River
Radio Club and the North Coast Contesters.  A team consists of between
two and five operators.  Note that this contest is designed for
non-assisted operating, so single ops/team members may not use
assistance.  Using assistance puts an operator in the multi op category.

Unfortunately, I have had to schedule a house move for that weekend so
if I try to operate, it is likely that the movers will carry away my
desk and chair.  However, I will handle putting the teams together but I
will need to know your plans a little earlier than usual.  And I may not
be able to hound you as much as usual, so please let me know your plans
as soon as possible and at latest by 8 PM Friday August 6.  If you plan
to operate, let me know whether you think you will be:

Definitely full time

Full time if possible

Part time

Part time if possible

and I will put together the teams accordingly.  If your plans change at
the last minute, that's life.

This contest just keeps getting better and better.  In the January, 2021
version, a couple of ops were very close to 2,000 contacts (in 10
hours!).  There were 135 teams participating.  Our Team Dave (ops
NA8V,NP2X,W8WTS,N8AA,W1NN), in honor of K8CC, placed 11th.  Our own NA8V
banged out 1141 contacts, which I think was a new record for W8.  W8WTS
was only 17 contacts short of the 1,000 mark.

A couple of times over the past few years we have had a team or two in
the top ten and I know we can do it again.
