[NCC] Treasurer's Report

Here is a quick summary of NCC's treasury.

NCC has historically maintained a good balance sheet thanks to donations
from its members.  We are a loose organization and dues have been
remitted for as long as I can remember.  Instead, we "take care of
business" by counting on members to throw money into the pot after our
infrequent meetings.  The informality means that we never talk about
money, but somehow we always seem to have enough to do whatever we set
out to do.

I keep track of who gives what, but I have no plans to ever publish that
list.  Members throw in whatever they see fit.  I plan to summarize our
treasury twice a year - at our annual meeting in January and again right
around our summer picnic.

We started out the year with $2561.  The annual meeting in January was
virtual thanks to the continuing Covid risk.  Dues were once again waved
and the "take" from donations was somewhat meager because the hat to
throw money into was accessible only by US Mail or Paypal.  Folks just
naturally didn't donate as much as usual because it wasn't as easy as
simply handing the treasurer some greenbacks.

Between January 1 and now, we received $470 in donations.  Two
expenditures were made - $160 was sent to the ARRL for the NCC sponsored
contest plaques and $375 was spent on the super suite that we sponsor at
Hamvention, giving us a balance of $$2496 .

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this Saturday.  It sounds like
we'll have a fantastic turn out.
