Hello,

Slimming down and want to give away a Kenwood TS930V.

The V model was a 10 watt radio for the Japanese market.  The previous 
owner installed a 100 watt upgrade kit and I bought it in Japan and used 
it here for several years.  It's been in my closet for a long time - at 
least for 15 years.

I fired it up today and it works but there's not much power out. Here's 
what I measure:

160 10 Watts;  80  20 watts;  40 15 watts; 20 8 watts;  15 8 watts; 10 
40 watts.  It's almost as though the 100W upgrade is not working at 
all.  I don't know why it would stop producing full output, but you 
might be able to figure out what's wrong.

I made two short CW QSOs on 40 this afternoon and had a 30 minute chat 
on 15 with VY1JA (all using a straight key, whew!) so the radio works.   
The receiver works great.  I don't know if I works on SSB (no mic) but 
there is no reason to think it won't. Cosmetically it is really nice.

I'd prefer to give the radio to some needy person who has no radio and 
will actually use this one, but if no such person speaks up, it will go 
to the first person who wants it.  Delivery at Dayton might be arranged.
