When M0DXR was planning some of the details for WRTC2026, he noticed that the Italians were planning to sell off their antenna systems (tribander, dipoles, mast, rotator, all cables, etc.) and had not had much success selling them locally.

He worked out a deal to buy *all* of the remaining systems from them (50 in all) for a pretty attractive price. This solves the biggest station equipment procurement issue in one stroke - no need to chase several different vendors for discounts, donations, etc.

The problem of course was that WRTC2026 hadn't yet begun fund raising and had no money. DXR negotiated terms with the Italians that called for a down payment (which was funded by donations from a small group of guys) and a balloon payment due by the end of the year for the balance (about USD40k).

And so far, revenues have not met the goals. Some of the corporate donors have asked to spread their donations over a couple of years, so this is a cash flow problem that needs to be solved in the next 45 days or he will have to negotiate revised terms with the Italians. That might be a problem because the Italians want to wind down their organization by the end of the year.

In order to help WRTC2026 meet their promise, the officers of NCC have met and have given authorization for NCC to donate $1000 to WRTC2026 before December 31, 2023. There will be a formal confirmation vote on this issue at the January 2024 NCC meeting at K8AZ.

I am suggesting that those of you on this list who have been thinking about making a donation to consider doing it now rather than later. The list of donors so far is <https://www.wrtc2026.org/sponsors/> here

(individual donors at the bottom of the page).

There is a big blue DONATE button in the middle of this page: <https://www.wrtc2026.org/> https://www.wrtc2026.org/ VISA, MC, Amex all accepted.

Thanks in advance...DXR is a good guy and I am sure WRTC2026 will be a great event. He just needs a bit of financial support at the moment. The NCC members could make a big difference by making a donation.
