My mistake, it was Wayne, K8FF who was voted in as a member.  Shame on
me for dozing off during the meeting.

Notes from last night's NCC meeting:

As has been the case for many years, it was agreed that we remit the
dues for 2024 in favor of simply funding our efforts through voluntary
donations.  If you would like to contribute to our club's coffers, mail
a check to my (FCC database) address here in West Middlesex, or donate
via Paypal to w3yq at w3yq.com.  Any amount is fine.  If sending a personal
check, please make it out to Tim Jellison and not NCC.  Our club has
never had a business checking account.  It's just easier for the
treasurer to keep track of the money on a spreadsheet and store the
money under the mattress. I'll send out a quick summary of funds
received and an account total in a few weeks once I total up any and all
donations.  And as always, donations are anonymous.  I never publish a
list of who gave what.

The meeting was quite informal - but very enjoyable.  K8AZ, our outgoing
VP, sent out the agenda previously.  The agenda items were all discussed
by our outgoing President, K3LR.

Of note:

We welcome Jim, WA3JAT to our ranks.  Jim was quickly and unanimously
voted in as a member.

Once again, there were no takers answering the call for 2024 President
or Vice President.  So we took the easy way out and reversed their roles
again.  Tom is the new Prez and Tim is the Veep.

The only true "business" matter occurred during the discussion of CQ
Magazine's financial troubles.  As some (maybe many) know, WWROF stands
ready to assist in safeguarding the contest community's interests in the
CQ contests - the contests we so love.  As CQ Magazine's troubles seem
to become more severe, the NCC membership thought it'd be wise to
bolster WWROF's bank balance a bit by donating $500.  Our Prez and VP
had to recuse themselves because they're also on the WWROF board.  Just
for the record, the motion to donate was made by W8WTS and seconded by
N3SD.  Other than Tom and Tim abstaining, the approval of the membership
was unanimous.  I'll be mailing a check tomorrow.

A big thanks to Tom and Jill for hosting us.  The hospitality at K8AZ is
always second to none.

73,
Tim, W3YQ
Secretary/Treasurer
