I will probably fire up KL7WV Saturday night for a few hours. I don't know
that I'll stay up all night and be there for east coast sunrise, but if the
band is good I should be able to work you guys earlier than that. I often
work the east coast from here in SE Alaska between 05 and 11 GMT.
Kevin, NL7Z, who is much farther north, says he'll be on in a limited
fashion too. Hopefully between the two of us you'll be able to work Alaska
this weekend.
Good luck to all.
73,
Tim W3YQ/KL7WV

The CQ 160 Meter CW contest is this weekend. As with all contests, I hope
to hear and work lots of MRRC/NCC/NODXA people.
A notable difference between the CQ and ARRL 160 contests is that CQ does
not have the ARRL's fixation about using more than one callsign by one
operator
or from one location. So, it is perfectly all right to fire up from your
own station with a second (or more!) call, start fresh, and make a lot more
qsos than you would otherwise. You don't even have to drive between
different
stations as I do in the CW SS.
I'm planning to be on with at least two calls during the contest. Most
likely I will use one call one night and a different one the second. And
maybe
even a third on Sunday evening.
So if you have access to a club call, or even just a friend willing to
trust
you with his, you can get a taste of the fun of the Multi-Station
contesting
I have been doing for many years in CW SS.
Hope to work you early and work you often!
