Subject: CODXA dinner meeting Oct. 24!!!
Date: Sun, 7 Oct 2007 10:44:52 -0400
The sunspot numbers are low, but our hopes are high. There is a CODXA DX
dinner coming! We will gather on Wednesday, October 24 at 6:00 PM at
Dublin Ohio's La Chatelain. The address is: 65W. Bridge St. & St. Rte
161. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant. You will want to be
there to meet and talk with the "BIG GUNS and small pistols" from our
area. Once there, we will enjoy a full service bar and excellent French
and American cuisine and even better desserts, all at reasonable prices.
Following the social activities, we will order from the menu and pay our
individual checks.

We will take a few minutes to discuss plans and the direction and
expectations of CODXA and then enjoy the program.

The program should be one of our best: Randy Schaaf-W9ZR will share his
experiences in BX land earlier this year. Randy, W9ZR along with N8BJQ
and W8UVZ operated as BX0ZR from Taiwan in January of this year. He
will provide details of their operation.

Randy, W9ZR was first licensed in 1960 in Green Bay Wi as KN9DKU and
has been chasing DX from the start. He currently has all entities on
SSB< missing only P5 on CW> and is Number 8 on the DXCC challenge with a
total band country count of 3074. He is particularly interested in 160
meter DXing and has 297 countries on that band.

As always, guests are welcome, especially ladies. Please email me back
no later than Sunday, October 21st if you will be attending and if you
are bringing any guests. I need to turn in the count to the restaurant
by Monday, October 22.

Please wear a callsign badge to the event.

It has been some time since we had a meeting of our group and it would
be great to have a large turnout at this meeting.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

73,

Bill-AA8EY
