It is with great sorrow to report that my great friend and well-known
DXer Luis, XE1L, became a Silent Key, shortly after returning to San
Diego from the recent TX5K Clipperton Island DXpedition. Reports
indicate that Luis was stricken with a major heart attack and passed
away within minutes.
This is very sad news. Luis usually attends the Dayton Hamvention
every year and visits the NODXA Hospitality Suite. I will miss his
joyous spirit and smiling face this year. He always made it point to
have our picture taken together every year. I am at a lost for words.
May he R.I.P. The DX community will miss him dearly..... Tedd KB8NW
