Remember that NODXA Field Day is this coming weekend,
June 28th-29th. We would like to see all club members
and their guests at the event.

You don't have to operate. There is plenty of good food
and conversation that you don't get at our regular meetings.
Just come out and have some fun. Time keeps marching on so
don't put it off. You may regret not attending.

We will operate as 2A with a phone station and a CW Station.
Both will use FT1000D radios. We will also have a FT100D on
6 meters with a small 6 meter beam. This radio will be on the
table under the tent pavilion as it was last year. You can make
a few q's while chowing down on some good food.

I was out at the site today and the new paved road has given
incentive to keeping the grass manageable in the fields on
either side. Ed, W8EDB, will be mowing our tent area so the
grass is down low and bugs are minimized. The road was just
paved for last year's event. If you weren't there, be assured
that you don't have to drive on a dirt and sometimes muddy road
to get to the site.

I have invited North Royalton CERT Director Nick Phillips to
attend and this time he will likely bring some North Royalton
Police Officers with him to observe. I have also invited North
Royalton Mayor Bob Stefanik to come out with him so we may have
a few extra bonus points that we have not had in the past (elected
official). Press releases and invitations to attend have been sent
to the Royalton Post Newspaper and the Royalton Recorder. Even if
they don't send a reporter, we may get some after action publicity
like what was in the Post Newspaper last year (K8VJG and Nick Phillips).

Today's forecast puts the temps at 83 for Saturday and Sunday, a very
manageable climate. There are slight chances of showers but they will
likely be scattered. At least it won't be 90 as earlier predicted.

Field Day is a family event. Bring your family and friends out to see
what your hobby is all about. We could not ask for a better location!

73,
John K8YSE
