Glenn -
You should not associate your FRN (which is your personal social security
number) to a club license.
The club must have a separate FRN number not associated to any individual.
Because the FCC wireless bureau conducts business with both commercial and
amateur, the FCC CORES system allows registrants to attach multiple licenses
to one FRN number.
This is mostly for commercial use.
However, for Amateur's the club's FRN and the trustee's FRN should be
completely different.
First, you or the new trustee will have to dis-associate your personal FRN
from the club license in the license manager section of the FCC website
https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/licManager/login.jsp .
The club will REGISTER for a new FRN number in the CORES system
https://apps.fcc.gov/coresWeb/publicHome.do .
They will apply as a "Business" (Registration Type), "Private Sector"
(Business Type) and Amateur Club (Business subtype).
If the club does not have a taxpayer ID, then for the statement: "If your
business does not have an Employer Identification Number, select a reason:"
select - Amateur Club.
Complete the remainder of the registration form and hit submit.
The club will use that new automatically generated FRN for all their FCC
transactions.
Last, log back into the Club license manager section and ASSOCIATE the new
FRN to the club license
https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/licManager/login.jsp .
Additionally, you should update your CORES FRN information at some point so
it matches your license record.
Sincerely,
Maria Somma, AB1FM
