Hello Dan:

Absolutely - last year was a MESS! Some months ago I spoke to someone on the Hamvention Committee.. A "proposed plan" was to lay down a SEMI HARD material in the aisles of the flea market. This would be ONLY in the aisles, and not in the spaces themselves. When I checked with him later on, he said the "proposed plan" was still being milled about, BUT that he had not seen any progress towards that goal. Now MAYBE things are working in that direction, and may be completed. I just don't know
In my opinion, not being a FLEA MARKET ENGINEER, the assigned spots from where we sell could still be buried in mud, depending on the weather, but MAYBE the aisles would be more passable for those roaming the area.

It's a WAIT and SEE situation I'm afraid. I know several people who would not venture into the flea market area last year, and you undoubtedly saw the number of open spaces, even though all were sold out.

Subject: [Nodxa] Dayton Flea Market question

Greetings to all who are going to Dayton soon!I have our flea market space and tickets in hand already. Kudos to the Flea market staff for being on the ball in that department.Having barely survived the Mud Mosh Pit that was the flea market last year I am hoping for good weather for the weekend. But, we all know about Ohio weather. Has any one heard anything about any ‘mud mitigation’plans for the flea market infield? I know there had been some looking into solutions but have not heard anything from any source (including the Hamvention website)Does anyone know of any plans in place?Look forward to seeing all at DaytonDan W8CAR_______________________________________________Nodxa mailing listNodxa at lists.contesting.comhttp://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/nodxa
