Dear Northern Ohio DX Association,

In November 2022, a group of 13 amateur radio operators will be landing 
on Bouvet Island, the second rarest DXCC entity!

Our DXpedition with the callsign 3Y0J will be sailing across the South 
Atlantic Ocean from its starting point in the Falkland Islands and will 
set up camp on the Island for 20 days, our goal being to put at least 
120K QSOs in the log, using 8 stations. We will be utilizing all 
operating modes, but we will prioritize the human modes!

Our preparation work is well under way and it is focused on the complex 
logistics necessary for a successful operation in the harsh environment 
of Bouvet Island.

Our 45-day trip has a budget of US$650K, with most of this money going 
to pay for the boat and its crew.

Each 3Y0J operator has already paid US$20K towards the DXpedition 
budget. We are grateful to NCDXF and INDEXA who have supported us with 
their largest donations ever!
