Subject: ARRL Support of Amateur Radio Emergency Preparedness Act

Hi,

I am Terry Windsor, KI8N, Ohio Section ARRL Affiliated Club Coordinator. I am sending this email to all club emails, club presidents, and newsletter editors to ask for your participation in helping spur congress to act on the Amateur Radio Emergency Preparedness Act. The ARRL has started this grass roots effort to assist hams in restricted areas.

David Minster, ARRL CEO was on YouTube with Ham Radio Crash Course to discuss this effort. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMLDannix2M&t=65s

Below are the links for individual hams to submit their call sign and information and for clubs to submit a letter to each of their state Senators and Representatives in Washington DC.

Please note you can only submit your call sign one time.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Terry Windsor

CALLING ALL AMATEURS

As you have seen in the past day, ARRL has launched its legislative action campaign to get ALL radio amateurs involved in sending a message to their Congressional representatives that they want to see passage of bills H.R.1094 and S.459, the Amateur Radio Emergency Preparedness Act.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

NOW is the time for YOU to encourage ALL of your club members to go to https://www.arrl.org/HOA<https://arrl.informz.net/z/cjUucD9taT0zNDQwNTk4JnA9MSZ1PTUyMDM3NDY3MSZsaT0zOTc1ODUyOQ/index.html> to simply enter their call sign and hit the button to send letters on their behalf. It is nearly effortless! You do not need to be an ARRL member to use the website. EVERY licensed amateur radio operator is welcome to participate!

So please also forward this email to other licensed hams you know and ask for their participation.

There is also an opportunity for YOU and YOUR CLUB to send letters on behalf of the entire club to Washington to let them know your club supports this legislation.

The links below give you access to the draft letter to be customized for your club, along with a set of step-by-step instructions on completing and sending the completed letters.

2026 is the ARRL Year of the Club! Let’s get started early in making a major impact by getting you and your club on board with passing this important legislation!
