Subject: Yuri Gagarin International DX Contest - 2026

To: NO8DX

Dear friends from Northern Ohio DX Association,
65 years ago, a man flew into outer space for the first time.
This man became the Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
In honor of this event, we are holding the annual Yuri Gagarin International DX Contest.

We invite you to take part in the contest and hope that you will get an unforgettable experience from participating in it.
This year's contest will be held from 12 UTC on April 11 to 12 UTC on April 12 on all HF bands (except WARC) simultaneously CW and SSB.
Also, the Yuri Gagarin International DX Contest is the only competition where, in addition to HF communications, QSO is allowed via amateur radio satellites.
You can find out more about the contest's rules here<https://ua9qcq.com/contestinfo.php?t_id=130&Year=2026&mo=4&lang=en>.

This year we have significantly increased the number of special stations, which are a multiplier in the contest.
And QSOs with Russian cosmonauts Alexander Volkov (U4MIR) and Alexander Grebenkin (R3HP) will be a double multiplier.
A pleasant surprise awaits everyone who conducts a QSO with them and provides a log. They will receive specially printed QSL cards with personal autographs of the cosmonauts for this event.

For those who are not contestants but want to participate in the contest, follow the basic rule:
for each QSO conducted, write down the exchange transmitted to you, and do not forget that you must transmit the RST and the number of your ITU zone as your exchange.
If you have difficulty generating the log in Cabrillo format, then prepare the file in ADIF format.
And if you don't use a computer for logging, then take a photo of your log.
Send the files to us by e-mail, and we will help you create a log for the contest in the required format.
The main thing is that the provided files contain received exchanges.

See you on the bands in the contest!

Best regards,
Dmitri Kolenchuk (R3GM)
Yuri Gagarin International DX Contest Director
