[Orion] Re: Heil Pro-Set wiring for use with Orion

Tom,

I use a Heil Pro-Set with the Orion; and yes, I had RF problems on 15M. 

The problem with the Orion is similar to, or the same as I had with my Icom 
775DSP transceiver.  Go to the Heil website and look for their technical 
doc. on wiring the Pro for Icom rigs. 

Essentially they are taking the Pro Set's grounded shield and grounding it 
also to the chassis through the Mic connector.  I have done this and have 
not had any more problems.
