[Orion] Station Ergonomics / Radio Placement?

while not orion specific, here's another layout (if you have windows
media player and a broadband connection):

i am right handed.  both here and at n5tw's, i usually use the left
radio for running (cq'ing) and the right for search and pounch,
although sometimes i will do it the other way, especially if i am
"duel cq'ing" - cq on one rig followed by cq on the other.  i don't
use a paddle during contesting, just the keyboard, so i don't have
that to contend with, but i key paddles left handed (even though i am
right handed), and that was another reason to keep the cq radio on the
left side before i switched to just using the keyboard -  you don't
have to fiddle as much with the cq radio.

btw, when i cq i use the b vfo to receive.  that way the (big) b vfo
knob is basically the rit control.  clearing rit consists of hitting
the top right button on the orion, the "a>b" push button.
