These people are low! Check out the first libk, which says only in small
letters "Not FCC for USA." They clearly believe the FCC will not act.

>> Looks like we could have a real problem here! I received the following
>> information and wanted to pass it on to the group:
>> Check this out! - New long range cordless phones manufactured to
>> the Amateur radio two
>> meter band!
>> Sun, 13 May 2001 21:42:55 -0600
>> "n7lt" <firstname.lastname@example.org>
>> I try and not do this very often but I'm sending this email with URL links
>> to all the hams I have in my address book to spread the word about a new
>> kind of interference we may be seeing in the near future.
>> Not to many weeks ago, Bill, K7MT, in Helena, Montana copied a unknown
>> interfering signal 146.76 MHz. It turned out to be a new kind of export
>> cordless phone illegal to use here in USA. Some of these long range
>> cordless phones have output power of over 35 watts! These cordless phones
>> are being sold all over the web (even ebay!) and look to become a new
>> of interference for Hams to track down. Won't this be a whole bunch of
>> to tell a guy his new $500 long range cordless phone that he can talk for
>> miles on is illegal in the USA!
>> It looks as if these guys are starting to promote these long range
>> telephones in the US even though they are NOT FCC type accepted.
>> Here is a link to a long range cordless phone that's in the HAM band!!!!
>> The web site is even in the USA!
>> Here are some more.
