There's another similar article in the March 2001 QST, with feedback in
April. Seems to me that any handi-talki capable of receiving AM in the
aircraft bands could substitute for the receiver portion. Use of a Moxon
rectangle for the antenna in the later article could have some real
advantages because of its excellent directivity in a small physical package.
