[RFI] Can Fluorescent bulbs cause RFI problems?

Dimmers, depending on design, are not necessarily noisy.

The mechanical ones use a resistive wiper design and the
surface becomes dirty and pitted over time.  The cheap
ones use too little surface and they are almost always
noisy.

Look for better quality units that are marked as rfi
quiet.  I happened upon a Levitor rep in a hardware
store (Home Depot or Lowes) and he explained their
different models at the time.

Also, some of them are electronic dimmers, they are also
likely to always be noisy.
